Welcome to the Economic Opportunity Program of Chemung and Schuyler Counties

EOP offers many events that are open to the community and all ages. We also have a wide variety of venues that are open for private events.

For over 53 years EOP has provided an opportunity for individuals and families to earn a decent living wage, learn to protect and save the money they earn, and provide a positive present and future for themselves and their children. Since 1965, EOP has been a multi-service organization for family success within the community. Through a combination of family development services and energy services, EOP demonstrates its commitment to the community and promotes self-sufficiency.

At EOP we do people. We help people obtain the skills they need to help themselves, and in the process build a stronger and more sustaining community.

The video encompasses and demonstrates the work of EOP and other agencies within the NYS Community Action network since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.  As an “essential business” during the COVID-19 Pandemic, EOP is providing food services, including CFJP Bistro (take out/delivery), and more than 350 meals served daily at curbside and delivered to homes;  basic necessities to economically disadvantaged populations; and childcare services.
